The Matterhorn was undergoing a little refurbishment the other weekend. Disney used to just put up the infamous green walls and an “this attraction is closed for refurbishment sign”.   Over the past several years however –they have got a little more creative when one of their attractions is closed.  In these case that includes a little display of some of the history of the Matternhorn in these displays on the green walls.    Previously on the Jungle Cruise they did something fun and even had skippers playing games and interacting with the guests.   I like this current approach to scheduled ride closures.  I hope they keep it up.    Here is a little Matterhorn History for you courtesy of the walls around the Matterhorn.

I absolutely love this Yeti concept art

The movie that inspired the Attraction (which I have still never seen)
