Disney Junior Tour

I’ve been waiting for a while to take our son Hudson to Disney Junior Dance Party! in DCA.   He watches all the shows and really seems to be into music.   As certain songs come on his shows he will stop what he is doing and bounce to the music.    So right after he turned 11 months old we decided to see how he would like it.

Of course at 11 months old he had no clue what we were waiting in line for, but he was having a good time checking everything out.

The show includes music and dancing with some of the characters from Disney Jr.   Currently the show includes characters from Doc McStuffins,  The Lion Guard,  Sofia the First,  and Hudson’s personal favorite Mickey and the Roadster Racers.

The show is a high energy show that includes some popular music from the TV shows.   The live actors of course are the typical over the top performers that kids love and parents endure.   The show is the perfect mix of music , Cartoons images on big screens and Cartoon characters appearing in person.  All the little kids in attendance seemed to be having a blast.   Of course it is designed of the Disney Jr. audience so it definitely isn’t a show for all ages.  If you have little ones that watch these shows they will love it.

Check out the videos on my Facebook page for a Lion Guard song that included Timon on stage.

Mickey and Minnie hit the stage in their Roadster Racers gear to dance and sing with the crowd.

Our little guy was transfixed on the stage and screens in awe the whole time until a confetti drop about 3/4 of the way through the show grabbed his attention LOL.  He spent the rest of the show gathering up all the confetti one piece at a time.   I know he had a great time because of the smiles on his face after the show.   I can’t wait to take him back again in about a year when he can dance along with his favorite characters.   Maybe by then they will incorporate The Puppy Dog Pals (another Disney Jr show) that is his favorite.  Currently they are featured in some of the pre-show in the line outside.

I would absolutely recommend this show for anyone with little ones between the age of 1 and 4 years old.  Especially if the watch those Disney Jr. shows.

The show at DCA is so popular that they have turned it into a Live Concert experience that tours the country.    I can’t vouch for that show–but I would guess that it is a longer version with more characters .
